The purpose of the education roundtable was to gather stakeholders , invested in the quality of education to seek for ways that will improve the academic output of the Egba people.
Different personalities were present at the summit such as the Commissioner of Education, Science and Technology, Ogun State; Professor Abayomi Arigbabu, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo (Alake and paramount ruler of Egbaland) , Oba Saka Matemilola (Olowu of Owu Kingdom) , Senator Shuaib Salisu of Ogun Central Senatorial District , Dr. Tomi Coker (Commissioner of Health) Ogun State and other invited guests.
The programme featured different aspects such as a keynote address from the Commissioner of education on “‘Repositioning Education as the bedrock of Egba development”, there was also a break out session with different educational stakeholders discussing vital parts of the sector that needs intervention such as;
- Promoting Inclusive education and addressing disparity
- Leveraging Technology for Educational Enhancement
- Strengthening Teacher training and Professional Development
- Policy Dialogue and Advocacy for sustainable change etc
